Richard Fields is a New York-born businessman and philanthropist. He is the Chairman of Coastal Development, LLC, a financing and development company that specializes in resort destinations, entertainment projects and casino gaming facilities.
Richard Fields is the owner of Jackson Land Cattle (JLC). JLC is a privately owned company in Jackson, Wyoming. The ranching company gives Fields, a ranching enthusiast, an opportunity to experience the professional and personal sides of the ranching industry. Through JLC, Richard Fields supports the ranching and quarter horse industry in addition to several local groups.
A former Donald Trump protégé, Fields is a major player in a group looking to take over the state’s lucrative horse tracks. He also wants to build casinos in the Catskills, and he created a stir by giving Spitzer $200,000 in donations through various corporations.
New York businessman Richard Field has approached the track with a bid that reportedly values Suffolk Downs at approximately $100-million. "There have been discussions," said Suffolk spokesman Chip Tuttle. "Richard Fields has expressed an interest. There have been discussions with his organizations, and those discussions are ongoing."
Mr. Fields also provides the New York City Police Foundation with ongoing support over the years. The New York City Police Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides support to the New York Police Department (NYPD) and the members of its police force.
